Post My own prayer Reply with quote
(This is just a little prayer I wrote - I wanted it somewhere that I could come back to it and read it without fear of someone finding it saved on my computer)

God - I guess I'm going to post this here. I don't really know why, I just feel like I should.

I want to thank you for giving me all that you have given me. I want to ask for your forgiveness for the mistakes that I have made as well as ask for your help to rediscover the path that you want for me.

I want to thank you for giving me this board and a co-worker who I have recently discovered that I can freely explore my feelings about you with. I am trying very hard to make you a part of my daily life again and am trying to feel your presence in everything I experience. My goal is to reach a point in my life where I can feel your presence and be truly happy and at peace.

Thank you for giving me the opportunities that you have recently presented me... and thank you for helping me to deal with the disappointment when one of them did not pan out. I pray that you will help me find an outcome that will work out for all.

Thank you for the support of my parents. Please help me to remember that even if they are harsh when speaking of my husband that they truly want what is best for me and have always been forgiving and accepting - even when I made very bad choices for myself.

Please help me to find a method of prayer that is comfortable for me. Please help me to know that you can hear me when I write.

I am sorry for those times when I cut you from my life. I honestly think that it was the same reason/same time when I stopped talking to my parents. I was making choices I didn't believe were right and I didn't want them (or you) to see what a disappointment I felt that I had become. I see now that they have forgiven me for that. I also know in my heart that you will forgive me too - I know that all I need to do is ask. I'm just not sure I'm ready yet - I am working hard to feel like I am deserving of that forgiveness.

Please help me to help others. I feel like that is one of the things that I try to do each day through my jobs. Please let me be effective and do what I can to make a positive difference for others when you feel that I can do so.

Please bless all of the people that have helped me in my search to find peace.

Amen

Sadaco, what a touching prayer. Good thing I keep a box of kleenex by the puter. If we were deserving, we wouldn't need it. But he does love us so much.

Hugs.
